Algemene opmerkingen

Pathogeniciteit van deze darmprotozoa is zeer omstreden, behandeling is dus in principe niet geindiceerd.

Paromomycine is in Nederland niet geregistreerd. Apotheken kunnen het middel met een artsenverklaring bestellen.
